PT Hino Motor Sales Indonesia (HMSI) launched its latest series of FC 190 J ranger in Semarang in order to strengthen cargo truck market in Central Java.
Santiko Wardoyo, Sales & Promotion Director of HMSI, expects the existence of the 4x2 configuration truck would strengthen the market in view of the high number of industries in the region.
"Hino FC 190 J is suitable for short distance transportation as in the North Coast track. It is also potential to support the logistics transportation in Semarang," he said upon the launching.
As a short distance transportation, the new variant truck was efficiently designed to maximize the body as conveyance space.
Director of PT Celmaco Makmur Corporation, the operator of Hino Semarang dealer, Teranggono Muljono is optimistic that the new variant will be the alternative of logistics transportation.
"Semarang and the surrounding locations are the areas of services, industries, and trade. That is why, the market share of Hino medium truck keeps increasing," he said.
In 2012, the market share of cargo truck from the dealers in Semarang increased from 60% to 62.48% in 2013.
He expects that this year the market share would at least grow by 5% upon the launching of Hino ranger which is suitable for industrial products.
In Semarang, Hino FC 190 J is priced at IDR425 million per unit supported with simple and fast after sales services.
